Our take
I've been using the DJ X700 in my home studio for a few weeks now. The 5 channels give me plenty of room for multiple sources, and the 20 effects are nice to have, though I find myself mostly using the filter and reverb. The rack-mountable design is a huge plus for saving space. However, the 1U form factor makes the knobs a bit cramped, and the digital conversion feels a tad dated at 48 kHz. The build is solid for the price, but the plastic faceplate isn't inspiring. For $200, it's a decent budget option if you need effects and don't mind the compact layout.
